Objective

Generate awareness for a new global consumer brand. Build a large fan base on Facebook.

Solution

Launch a new twist on the traditional photo contest by creating a custom Facebook application that maximizes the viral growth possible from people submitting, rating and sharing photos with their Facebook friends.

Result

In less than five weeks, there were over 10,000 photo submissions, more than 850,000 branded social impressions from wall posts and nearly half a million photo ratings. The contest also generated tremendous organic growth, with more than 70% of all visitors coming from non-paid sources.
