ABOUT THE POSITION
Work with the world’s premier brands to build their presence on major social networks. Marketing is changing, and Context Optional needs people who understand how. We’re looking for proven ability to sell innovative, social-media focused marketing campaigns to pioneering agencies and brands.
As our East Coast Sales Director your job is to prospect, negotiate, and close strategic business partnerships for large brands. Part sales, part creative director, you will formulate and sell unique marketing campaigns on social networks that drive brand business goals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Successfully leverage your existing relationships with top marketing decision makers at Fortune 500 companies and major agencies – including your deep understanding of how brands are best positioned on sites such as Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn – to pitch innovative, engaging campaigns
- In a dual role of part salesperson, part creative director you will be responsible for formulating and selling unique marketing campaigns on social networks driving brand business goals.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- 6+ years in a high-volume, strategic sales role
- A proven track record in successfully prospecting, negotiating and closing strategic partnerships for large brands
- Exceptional client relationship skills, including superb written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to thrive under tight deadlines while successfully juggling a multitude of project simultaneously
- Strong organization and project management skills
- Solid understanding of software development processes with strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Extreme level of energy, highly self-motivated, and a passion for success
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier school
