Context Optional is a leading provider of social marketing software enabling businesses to market more effectively across the social web. Our extensive suite of web-based products is designed for building, managing, monitoring, and advertising brand presence to meet marketers’ acquisition, engagement, and retention goals. By combining industry expertise, a leading technology platform, and comprehensive data and analytics into an integrated approach, Context Optional offers the most effective social CRM and marketing solutions for Fortune 1000 brands and agencies. Headquartered in San Francisco, Context Optional is trusted by leading brands such as Disney, Electronic Arts, General Mills, JPMorgan Chase, Live Nation, Microsoft, NBC Universal, Safeway, Target, and Toys”R”Us.
In our opinion, social marketing is fun. If it wasn’t, we wouldn’t be putting our blood, sweat and tears into building such dynamic, robust, cutting-edge technology to support our clients who, without us, wouldn’t be able to build such vibrant brand presences on Facebook, MySpace, Bebo and the iPhone. Still, while work is important – we all believe a healthy dose of fun is necessary. We build amazing, dynamic webapps and have also been known to host intense ‘Iron Chef’ style cooking competitions in the office on a random Wednesday (you’ll have to join us to find out how the office is split when it comes to favoring macaroni and cheese or ramen).
We love what we do. If you’re as passionate about using building social games and engaging apps on Facebook while expanding your career and meeting interesting people as we are, we’d love to hear from you.
When Target was looking for a way to get their customers involved in their commitment to charitable giving, they came to Context Optional. We built a Facebook app that let users vote on where the $3 million in donations should go. Over 250,000 people participated.
Travel Channel was looking to drive users to its site as a travel resource and hired Context Optional to build Kidnap!, the largest branded app on Facebook. More than 11 million users have kidnapped their friends to exotic locales using the app we built.
