Run all marketing and PR efforts for leading social marketing firm Context Optional. As Marketing and PR Manager, you will be handling all day-to-day responsibilities for Context Optional’s branding and marketing efforts while contributing to overall strategy for client management and business development.
Responsibilities include:
• Positioning Context Optional as subject matter experts in social marketing with relevant reporters, journalists and analysts
• Pitching for scheduled and unsolicited editorial opportunities at business, consumer and local outlets
• Creating marketing collateral, including the website and all marketing documents such as case studies
• Organizing company presence at conferences (securing speaking slots, managing exhibiting) and hosting our own industry events
• Building a lively online corporate social presence, including writing thoughtful blog entries and posting regular Twitter and Facebook Page updates
• Managing our advertising budget, including buying targeted online ads and sponsorships
• Publishing the company newsletter
Requirements include:
• Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university
• Demonstrated love for social marketing technologies including Facebook, blogging, and Twitter
• Solid understanding of the power of word of mouth marketing and the impact of social marketing on major household brands’ marketing initiatives
• Proven track record of securing speaking engagements and media/analyst briefings for executives
• Exceptional writing and pitching skills; articulate in e-mail and on phone
• Able to thrive under tight deadlines and manage several calendars and simultaneous projects
• Extreme level of energy, highly self-motivated, and a passion for success
• Must have at least 2 years relevant experience
